Hospice

Home Hospice is available on request and by referral from your regular veterinarian. Hospice is care designed to support pets in the final phase of a terminal illness and focus on comfort and quality of life, rather than cure. The goal is to enable the pet to be comfortable and free of pain, so that they live each day as fully as possible. The first home visit by Dr. Dunne is to review your pets veterinary records, perform a physical exam, discuss your expectations, and to formulate a medical plan.  Additional home visits allow for monitoring and maintaining your pet's quality of life. Home hospice eliminates the stress of traveling away from home for end-of-life comfort care. When ready, at home euthanasia allows your pet to pass in familiar surroundings.
